Providing Psychological Assessments & Therapy Services to the Macarthur Area

What to bring?

If you have been referred by your doctor or another care provider, please bring along any referral paperwork.

Mental Health Care Plan

If you have been referred by your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan, you are able to access a significant Medicare rebate for up to ten consultations per year. Your psychologist will need to include details from this referral in your invoice for Medicare, so it is important to bring this documentation with you on your first visit.

If you have been referred by your GP under ATAPS, please forward the referral paperwork to Reid Clinical Psychology prior to your appointment, so that funding can be arranged. There are strict eligibility criteria for ATAPS. In most cases, your GP will suggest this option if you meet the criteria.

WorkCover or Third Party Insurance

When making the appointment, please inform our receptionist that you wish to be seen under WorkCover. We will require written approval for Psychology Assessment/Treatment prior to your first appointment.

No Referral

If you would like to see a psychologist as a private client, that is without a referral, you need not worry about any paper work at all. In some cases you may be able to claim a rebate from private health insurance.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Reid Clinical Psychology if you are unsure what to bring, or would like further information about any of the above options.
